(Backup) Sunset Lake Home

Some construction photos of a new house designed by LSF Design. This retirement home was a snug fit into a tight triangular building pad on 400' of lakeshore on Sunset Lake in Hugo, MN.  Many difficult site and zoning constraints drove many of the design decisions.

The views through the pines of the lake are amazing.

Enjoy, but know most of the residential and commercial projects we do are more modest ~ but hopefully just as creative and enjoyable.

Master Bedroom View. The door to the right leads out to a honeymoon deck off to the side of this vista.

Main Barrel Vault running from the entry door, past the open staircase and dining room ending its this view of the lakes and pines. Some odd roof framing to make it look simple. ICF exterior walls.

From the lake. Almost 100% ICF foundation, walls AND floors will make this one of the more quiet homes, inside and out. Each bump serves a purpose.

Curbside appeal! Left to right: elevated 4-season porch, kitchen bump-out window, barrel vaulted entry, low laundry room and two single car garages.

Dinner just has to taste better in this dining room!

This central staircase wraps around a center column with niches and a cap for sculpture displays.

The septic and house were pushed as far west as possible to preserve these black walnut trees. Hearty little soldiers are leaning in for a better look.

This four season porch, with ICF floors, steel columns engage the house with a formal gas fireplace above (hers) and a casual wood burning fireplace below (his). Trixie the bird will have a custom stainless steel birdcage on one side of the upper fireplace open to this porch and the kitchen/great room to the inside.
